Welcome to Fourth Grade!

 

My Mission:  It is my mission to provide a Christ-centered program in which students are given the opportunity to grow academically, socially, and spiritually, through a varied, rigorous program, that recognizes the needs of the individual student, in a safe and structured environment.

 

Education:   Bachelor’s in Education

                  Concordia University (1997)

                  Commissioned Minister Certification (1997)

Called to Redeemer Lutheran School (2015)

 

Experience: I began my teaching career in 1997, at Zion Lutheran School in Piedmont, CA, where I taught 5th grade for 10 years.  After a few years away raising children, I returned to the classroom, teaching various grades and subjects where needed in my school.  During that time I gained experience in K, 2nd, 6th, and 7th grade classrooms, as well as K-5 Physical Education.  I was called to Redeemer in 2015, and am happily enjoying the process of developing my 4th grade classroom.

 

Hobbies:  A native of Montana, I enjoy getting outdoors with my family.  We love spending time enjoying God’s creation in Montana, Yosemite, and at the beach, hiking, camping, swimming, and just plain soak up the mountain views and fresh air.  When my schedule permits, I also love immersing myself in the kitchen, trying out new and different recipes.
